2011 DNP Conference Presenter and Exhibitor Information
July 24, 2011
Greetings to all presenters at The Fourth Annual Doctors of Nursing Practice Conference taking place September 28 - 30, 2011.
We welcome you and are proud of the roster of speakers and poster presentations at this year's event. The caliber of this and every conference is dependent on the quality and talents of the presenters. Please accept this message as guidelines, plus additional information to help you present at this year's conference.
Impacting Health Care Policy is the theme of this year's conference. From the passage of the national Health Care Bill to an enforced rule or regulation in the workplace, health care policy exists on many different levels. Advanced practice nurses, and all nurses with a practice doctorate degree have great potential to influence policy that could affect the ever changing dynamics of nursing research, education and practice on a spectrum of levels. This year's conference intends to bring forth examples of the strategies, challenges and successes that nurses have encountered in their work on policy reform issues.
2011 Conference Objectives:
1. Examine America's new Health Care Reform Bill and discuss how it affects DNP practice
2. Identify methods used to raise public awareness of the DNP prepared, advanced practice nurse to increase access to quality health care systems and services
3. Recognize how DNP leadership in policy formation can transform advanced nursing provisions, research, education and practice
