Dera Harvey APRN, PMHNP-BC MSN, BSN
Dera Harvey is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Prairie View. She is also a Clinical Faculty member in the School of Nursing at Eastern Kentucky University. She has completed a series of nursing degrees which include: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (2013) from Tabor College; a Master of Science in Nursing (2016) from Fort Hays State University; a Post-Masters Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (2019) from Eastern Kentucky University; and is currently completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Eastern Kentucky University. Her doctoral work is set to focus on improving compassion fatigue and nursing turnover. Throughout her career, she has primarily worked in addictions and outpatient psychiatric mental health care for Prairie View in Wichita, KS. She has published a blog (2016) “Supporting a Loved in Recovery” and an article (2017) “Reasons for Opioid-Free Pain Management” in A New View, a Prairie View quarterly magazine. She is nationally certified in Psychiatric Mental Health care. She maintains active clinical practice at Prairie View hospital in Newton, Kansas.
She lives in Wichita, Kansas with her family.
