Ms. Brandy Wardrip is a Doctor of Nursing Practice student attending Eastern Kentucky University. She started her nursing journey as a Licensed Practical Nurse (1997) from Fayetteville Technical Community College. She advanced on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (2003) from the University of Louisville and Master of Science Degree in Nursing Education (2013) from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her DNP project will focus on utilizing simulation to improve nursing empathy with dementia patients. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nursing and Kentucky Chapter of Association of Nursing Professional Development. She is a Kentucky Colonel. Her nursing background includes multiple areas such as outpatient, medical/surgical, intensive care, emergency care, and Perianesthesia. She currently practices as a Nursing Education Consultant with Robley Rex VA Medical Center and as a part-time faculty for the University of Louisville School of Nursing.
She lives in with her family in Louisville, Kentucky.
