Alvernia's on-line Post-Master’s DNP Program is designed for professional nurses practicing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), including Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Certified Nurse Midwives, and all Certified Nurse Practitioners. On-line courses are designed for working APRNs and the DNP can be completed over 2 years (35 credits).
The DNP Clinical Leadership Program offers theory, research, and clinical leadership practicums culminating in a DNP scholarly project. Courses offered in the DNP Clinical Leadership Program are taught online with 3-4 weekend on-campus residencies required for 4 courses. Faculty work with DNP students to provide expert assistance with the scholarly project, which can be completed at the APRN's home state.
