Kimberly Gould, DNP, RN
IDr. Gould is an assistant clinical professor of nursing at Northern Arizona University, a NAMS certified menopause practitioner, and a family nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience practicing in rural areas. She received a Master’s in Nursing from NAU and completed a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Arizona State University. As a doctoral student she implemented a translational research project to increase human papilloma virus vaccine uptake in young women and has continued to have a special interest in cervical cancer prevention and new indications of the HPV vaccine. Her teaching interests include pharmacology, primary care, and evidence-based practice.

Purpose
The purpose of this poster presentation is to share the experiences of NAU nursing faculty and the HRSA grant team in designing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum to enhance knowledge and use of telehealth and to use simulation to integrate public health competencies into DNP education. The goal is to demonstrate the impact of simulation in preparing DNP graduates to meet the unique health needs in a rural, culturally diverse, and medically underserved area.
