Melody Avila, DNP, FNP-BC
Dr. Avila is Assistant Professor and a clinician educator for the Family Nurse Practitioner, Midwifery, and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner programs. My primary focus for clinical practice and research has on the wellbeing of adolescents’ health. I have given multiple presentations at the state and national level on the topic of adolescent health. I have published work regarding adolescents in the scope of mindfulness and mental health.

Purpose
The purpose of this presentation is to understand resiliency and mitigating adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in an Adolescent population.
