Her current work focuses on the healthcare system’s cultural transformation through clinical innovation and programming aimed at Veterans’ health and well-being. She has developed various innovative programming for Veterans, including telehealth programming, successfully converting in-person groups to virtual offerings during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her particular passion and interest focus on Women’s Veteran-centric care. She continues to develop innovative interventions and programming, spreading her expertise to National Veterans and non-Veteran platforms.

Purpose
The purpose of this presentation will provide an overview of a Quality Improvement Project that aimed to enhance psychosocial health and well-being for female Veterans. Participants attended a virtual 4-week wellness group entitled ‘Love Yourself, Invest in Yourself, Vitalize Yourself, & Empower Yourself’ (LIVE). Using mindfulness and group social interaction in a virtual format provides evidence of a strategy that can be used with diverse populations, which adds to the resources available for DNP-prepared nurses to use in their practice.
This became especially important during the past year during the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting social distancing.
