The purpose of this presentation is to: (1) articulate the association between healthcare disparities of diverse university students and lack of cultural competence (CC) of university student health center licensed personnel who care for them; (2) discuss the positive impact of a CC workshop on CC levels of university student health center personnel; and (3) share resources and tools to guide DNP-prepared nurses in the conduction of cultural assessments, offering the potential to improve the quality of care of diverse patient experiences in dynamic healthcare systems.
