This educational offering provides 0.17 CEU and was presented in the Administration track. The course includes a static poster and an MP4 video file from the presentation originally shared at the 14th National Doctors of Nursing Practice Conference at the Swissotel in Chicago, August 2021. Tina DiMarino, DNP, RN  Tina DiMarino serves as an ASC industry leader. She performs work as a consultant in the Ambulatory Surgery Center field across the country. Tina also serves as the COO for Custom Surgical Consultants. She sits on the board of the Maryland Ambulatory Surgery Association. Her background is in surgery where she served as an Operating Room RN. She is a certified nurse operating room. She also holds certification as a Certified Ambulatory Surgery Center Administrator. She has been in leadership for 21 years and earned her DNP in May of 2021. Purpose To present an effective quality improvement (QI) strategy for an interdisciplinary health care team. The QI project was implemented with relative ease and minimal expense and improved communication and teamwork in an outpatient setting with a statistically moderate effect. The QI project utilized an evidence-based teamwork training to accomplish its goals.
