Samantha Jean Miniard, MSN, RN
Bio:
Samantha Miniard is a CME/CE Coordinator & Professional Development Specialist at Baptist Health Lexington. She has completed several nursing degrees which include: Associate in Science Nursing (2003) from Eastern Kentucky University; Bachelor’s in Science Nursing (2015) from Indiana Wesleyan University; and Master of Science Nursing: Nursing Administration (2018) from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is currently working towards her Doctorate of Nursing Practice with an expected graduation date of 2023 and is passionate about Cardiovascular Disease. She is a member of Sigma, the American College of Cardiology, and the Association for Nursing Professional Development. Throughout her career, Samantha has primarily worked at Baptist Health Lexington in many faucets of cardiac nursing including the Telemetry Step-down Unit, Cardiovascular Outpatient Unit, and Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. At Baptist Health Corbin she was over the certificate of need for the new cardiac interventional program and Cardiac Quality Improvement where she led many initiatives to improve cardiac care for the community. She was the Accelerator II project coordinator and worked with the American Heart Association and Duke Medical to improve system of care with the STEMI program. She has had numerous Daisy nominations. She has a certificate in nursing management from Sigma and received the Baptist Health Lexington Physician Medical Scholarship in 2020.
She currently lives in Somerset, Kentucky with her son and husband.
