The traditional post-master’s DNP program is scheduled every other weekend with classes on Friday evenings, Saturday mornings and Saturday afternoons. Individual class sessions are formatted or in-person, online, or combination delivery depending on the content and specific student learning outcomes for that content. The program is designed in format, schedule and content for working adults. Admission is twice a year in the fall and spring semesters.
The FNP emphasis begins summer 2011 and includes 35 units of content that fulfills California and national certification requirements and prepared the graduate to sit for the FNP licensing exam. DNP practicum hours are fulfilled through FNP clinical role hours. The FNP emphasis is available for both post-BSN and post-MSN students and the final degree is the DNP.
The post-BSN program is highly competitive and offers students an integrated program to earn both a MSN/CNL and DNP. Admission is once per year in the fall semester.
The Executive Leader DNP program is a concierge-style hybrid program with two “intensives” each semester in San Francisco and synchronous/asynchronous technology-mediated instruction between the intensives. It is a cohort program for nursing and healthcare executives. Admission is once per year in the spring semester.
