Six DNP options are available — Acute Care Nursing, Family Nursing, Forensic Nursing, Nurse Anesthesia, Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing, and Public Health Nursing.
The DNP program consists of:
• two, 20-week academic terms per year (some options include a summer term);
• three to four on-campus visits each year;
• core courses such as philosophy, epidemiology, health economics, and
• an area of specialty concentration, as well as a clinical residency in which a scholarly
project is conducted.
All students who successfully complete the advanced practice DNP program of choice will be eligible and prepared to take the national certification examination in their specific option of study.
