I have not had these discussions with my coworkers, in fact my manager encouraged me to pursue further education including my educator. They were positive and even motivating to say the least. It is important to surround yourself with people who are inspiring and want what is best for you. Initially, I was afraid to speak on wanting to pursue further education because I won’t be the only one to admit that nursing school was challenging and an experience that I did not want to subject myself to again. I think the challenge and the hustle everyday for 3 years kept me in a fight or flight mode that it has never truly dissipated. I feel that those people who are negative towards returning to school have not healed from that rollercoaster we all experienced. Do not let negative comments or influence deter you from your end goal.
