Donna Andrews, DNP, RN Donna Andrews is a Clinical Nurse Leader at TriHealth, Good Samaritan Hospital, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. In her role focused on improving clinical outcomes and reducing patient harm, she has led and participated in quality improvement projects and patient safety initiatives at the unit and system level. Recently graduating from from Mount St. Joseph University, she believes her newly acquired skills and abilities will allow for continued personal and professional growth. Her goal is to focus on eliminating clinical inefficiencies in care while improving patient and provider experiences within complex health care systems. Purpose The goal of this presentation is to provide nurses with information related to incidence, etiology, outcomes and current clinical practice recommendations in the daily care and maintenance of central lines. This presentation is dissemination of a DNP capstone project. The outcomes of the project validate the DNP leadership role in translation of evidence into practice and emphasizes the need to assure accountability for the care provided.
