Linda Benson, DNP, ACNP-BC, CPHQ
Dr. Benson has held a variety of positions including critical care clinical nurse specialist, acute care nurse practitioner and clinical quality specialist for various Departments of Nursing. Her education has consisted of an initial BSN, followed by an MSN and post Masters certificate and ending with the DNP degree. She has held adjunct faculty positions at two different universities teaching BSN and MSN students. She has disseminated knowledge and creative solutions through over 35 podium presentations at regional and national levels as well as 10 poster presentations. In addition she has published in peer-reviewed journals predominantly as the primary author.

Purpose
This presentation with demonstrate methodology for implementation of successful performance improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality in a large urban hospital setting.
